Hi friends, Courtney here!
It’s still summer. The kids are barefoot, the snack drawer is constantly empty, and we’re soaking up every bit of sunshine we can. But right around mid-July, I start hearing that quiet little whisper in the back of my mind:
“School is coming.”
Not in a stressed-out way—but in the way that reminds me I’ll blink and it’ll be meet-the-teacher night. So I’ve learned to use this window—the quiet before the storm—to get a few things in place. No panic, no rushing, just a little smart prep while things are still calm.
The Power of Starting Small
When I designed our new Pencil Bags and Lunch Kits, this exact season was on my mind. Because sometimes it’s not the big stuff that throws you off—it’s realizing you forgot to buy a lunch bag the night before the first day of school.
These two new pieces were created with intention:
-
The Ruffled Nylon Pencil Bag is compact, but fits way more than it looks like it should. Crayons, pens, earbuds, sticky notes—you name it.
-
The Lunch Kit is sturdy, structured, and designed to actually last the school year. It wipes clean in seconds, holds all the essentials, and matches our ruffled nylon backpacks like it was always meant to be there.
They’re small upgrades, but they add up. And come August, when your calendar is full and your to-do list is longer than your patience, you’ll be glad you crossed these off early.
July Is the Soft Start We All Need
I’m not here to rush summer. But I do believe in preparing with purpose. I’ve done the last-minute runs and the late-night online orders, and while they get the job done, they come at the cost of peace of mind.
Getting a head start in July doesn’t mean giving up the season—it means protecting your sanity when the season changes. It means having what you need before the shelves are empty. It means walking into back-to-school with confidence, not chaos.
Consider This Your Gentle Reminder
Our new pencil bags and lunch kits are live. They’re functional, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed—just like the women we make them for. Whether you’re a mom getting ready for round one or round five, or shopping for yourself, this is your moment to prepare with intention.
Backpacks. Pencil bags. Lunch kits. Checked off, ready to go!
XOXO,
Courtney
